Lecture to "After-School Children's Classroom" at Hanno Daini Elementary School (Saitama)

The program started in September 2023 at the after-school children's classroom of Hanno Daini Elementary School in Hanno City, Saitama Prefecture. On September 25, the first day of the program, a “Spontaneous Concert with Yuru Musical Instruments” was held.

Aoi Hiroki, who is active as an actor and model and conducts workshops in various locations, was invited as a facilitator, and she quickly became familiar with the children.

The program started with simple sound plays such as hand clapping. After preparing to enjoy the sounds, the children were divided into groups to experience playing a variety of Yuru Musical Instruments.

At the end of the program, everyone took charge of playing a Yuru Musical Instrument, and after a little practice, all participants from grades 1 to 6 performed "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" as an ensemble. They enjoyed the ensemble performance in their own styles, such as moving their bodies widely, singing while playing, and playing precisely to the ensemble.

The participating children were deeply interested in the "Yuru Musical Instrument”s! We had heard in advance that even children who were not familiar with musical instruments could enjoy playing them, and in no time at all, they were getting the hang of each instrument and making sounds. It was a fresh and very enjoyable time. The children were able to have a valuable opportunity to experience professional instruction and meet people and things they have never encountered before, all while staying at their regular school.

With the " Spontaneous Concert ," you'll be playing in no time, regardless of your experience on an instrument or whether or not you can read music. Through the performance, the students were able to experience the wonder and fun of expressing themselves with sound, and furthermore, by playing together with their friends, it became a time to create new communication using music as a tool.
